Artist Bio

Inès was born and grew up in Brussels, Belgium.
She worked for several years in leather fashion, as a designer in Brussels and London.
After the birth of her 3 children, she started to go to Contemporary Art classes and Life Drawing classes, first at South Thames College with Sheila Morley, then at Putney School of Art and Design with Gavin Maughling.
She’s currently doing Abstract and Composition classes with George Levantis, at Heatherleys.
Her Art has featured in numerous group exhibitions, first at The Wetland in Barnes, then at the Royal College of Art, London, for Chase Charity from 2001 to 2014, in the LoveLife exhibition in support of Sounds Minds and Papyrus at 22 Bishopsgate, London.

Colour is a big part of her art and her life.
In her work, she’s striving to combine a field of colours, sharp edges and geometric forms inspired by landscapes and environments, with the fluid movement of lines, inspired by the human forms, that she explored in her life drawing classes.
Her art is all a suggestion, which lets the imagination run.
